Mindfulness in Plain English
This is a fantastic little book. Jon Kabat Zinn recommends it. I advise you not read it in one go as it takes time to sink in. It would do you a world of good to read a couple of pages at a time, even if the concept still seems hazy. Remember that Mindfulness is all about recognising and paying attention to your feelings and emotions. This is where your true, honest and real self resides.
Another valuable free Resource is the 10 Keys to Happiness published in honour of the 2017 International Day of Happiness. This a free download for all. It may sound a bit corny because of where society has gone downhill, but the sentiments expressed are really very desirable.
