Why should you believe that Mindfulness Meditation will help you?

First of all, I would like to state that all human misery is caused by stress. When the body is stressed, it will react in the way its genes dispose it to.

If I am really tired over a period of time (tiredness itself is a form of stress), I am not surprised when I watch a cold. Strangely, the bacteria and viruses that cause flu are in us all the time. Only when our resistance down do they rise up and take over. So don’t blame anyone else for your cold.

Other illnesses are infectious. I had a disease as a child called ‘Echo No 9‘. I don’t know where I got it from, but the doctor made house visits regularly. I just looked it up and it seems it is related to Meningitis. So, yeah, I was sick.

Then many other types of being unwell, many of them caused by humans or their lifestyles. I would mental illness in this category. From my experience, people who are unwell can point to an incident or a time that seemed to trigger depression, bi-polar, schizophrenia or other less common mind disorders.
